Simran Kumar

 This is my performance at age eight playing the role of little Anna in the play Frozen. This video is a small snippet of one of my scenes. This show was conducted by the Hey Jojo Production in Solana beach. I was very happy to cast this role and this is one of my favorite plays and the movie :)

 This is a speech I wrote and recited in 2024 at a summer camp I attended, on the topic - "Do you think schools should have homework or not?" My answer was - Yes, schools should give homework to their students.  

 This Kathak dance is one I am very proud of due to the fact that the fast dancing at the end is the fastest I had ever done. I performed this dance with my classmates in many different locations. This dance is full of complex leg movements which are very difficult. 

The dance I did in this video is one I am very proud of. I took much of my free time to practice and somewhat perfect it. The voice of ghungroos (bells around our ankles) filled the auditorium. 

This is one of the first dances I had done in my Kathak journey. At age 7, I performed this dance many times in many different venues. I love Kathak!

At the 40th birthday of my mom’s best friend, I performed these dances on Indian Bollywood songs with only an hour to choreograph, practice and memorize. 

 This is the first dance I had ever done on stage, which is a Bollywood dance that I learnt from my teacher, Shalini. I was 4 years old. I felt alive on the stage and found my passion for dancing that has followed me to this moment.

This is yet another dance that I did with my classmates, only it was a bit different…I performed at Disneyland Showstopper! My class won a trophy for this dance, and I still have the trophy, treasuring it, in my room.

 This is one of the dances I enjoyed most, and it is where I found my passion for Bollywood songs that I still feel today. 

This song is called La Canduer.  It was a hard song for me at that time, and I am glad I played it well.

This song I practiced and got really good at, but never got the chance to perform at a recital. This song is called La Arabesque.

This was one of the earliest songs I played in my piano journey.

This is one project I have done. In this game, you clean the water bottles from the ocean by clicking them. Make sure not to grab the lily pads, or you will lose a life.
